How It Works
How It Works
Pressed to the Edge is built on one simple idea: a record only gets pressed when enough people want it. Here is exactly how that works from start to finish.
01 — Browse campaigns
Every campaign on the platform is an artist or label with a record ready to press. They have set a campaign price, a closing date, and a target of 100 pre-orders. Browse by genre, format, or just scroll until something stops you.
02 — Pre-order to pledge
When you pre-order a record, your payment is authorised but not charged. Think of it as a pledge. You are telling the artist: I want this record to exist, and I will pay for it when it does.
03 — The campaign hits its target
When 100 pre-orders are confirmed, the campaign funds. Your card is charged. The record goes to the pressing plant. You will receive an email confirmation with an estimated dispatch date.
04 — If the campaign does not fund
If a campaign closes without reaching 100 orders, no one is charged. Your authorisation is released automatically. No risk, no awkward refund requests.
05 — Your record arrives
Pressing and quality control typically takes 8 to 10 weeks. When your record ships, you will get a tracking notification. Then it arrives, you put it on, and that is the whole point.
